Bellator Officially moves to spike in 2013, that’s less than a month away. If you didn’t know, now you know. We’ve been watching Bellator on Spike.com for the last year, and enjoying every card for the most part. Well they have announced the time, dat and place of their official card on Spike TV.
Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney announced the news during a media conference call on Tuesday.
Thursday, January 17, at 10 p.m. ET. with 2 title fights! Michael Chandler (10-0) vs. Rick Hawn (14-1), and Bellator Featherweight Champ Pat Curran (17-4) vs. Patricio “Pitbull” Freire (17-1).
If we aren’t mistaken, Razor Rob McCullough and Joker Guymon will be making their promotional debuts on this card as well. Should be quite exciting, plus it’s right here in So Cal. It will take place at Irvine, California’s UCI Bren Events Center. Not to mention, Season 8 will have 5 tournaments going at the same time…145-pounds, 155-pounds, 170-pounds, 185-pounds and 205-pounds. That’s 12 weeks of fights every Thursday. Tuesday will be UFC’s TUF on FX, Thursday is Bellator and Friday mornings will be SFL, it’s gonna be a good year for MMA folks.
