Eddie gets a Pitbull

Who doesn’t love Pitbull’s? Especially when they have crazy KO power.

Eddie Alvarez is booked to face Patricky “Pitbull” Freire for his final? Bellator bout. Eddie has been on the shelf since demolishing Shinya Aoki in a rematch at Bellator 66. Bjorn Rebney announced on his Twitter that Oct. 12th is the date. It’s an interesting matchup and a very exciting fight for the fans. The upside is for the fans and Bellator, if Eddie wins or loses, Bellator wins. If he wins, he’s still their poster child, if he loses, then they can start touting Patricky a bit more. Either way, the fans get a good scrap.

For Eddie, he needs to win, and win decisively. He’s gonna enter contract negotiations with a few promotions, the UFC being the main one and if he loses or wins by a boring decision, it’s gonna put him on the wrong side of negotiations. Bjorn Rebney is a smart man. Don’t you ever forget that.
