Fedor looking, well, in shape

In case you hadn’t heard (what rock have you been under?) Fedor Emelianenko, ‘The Last Emperor’ is scheduled to fight Jeff Monson sometime in November. Monson is on the W-1 card at the end of October against Gabriel Gonzaga. AND, in unFedor like fashion, he’s looking trim, slim and dare I say, muscular. The below photos show a man i haven’t seen since Fighting Networks Rings in the year 2000. That’s almost 13 years ago! If this keeps up, I might have to give Fedor a chance against Monson.

On a separate note-The MMABadass.com had a good point today, he wondered how Monson could take a fight against 2 dangerous opponents just weeks apart. The chances of him getting injured in the Gonzaga fight are very real, win or lose. Gonzaga is a dangerous fighter on the ground and on his feet he has devastating kicks and a solid punch. Monson is a tough competitor, he fought 9 times in 2010 and has fought 4 times this year so far (6 counting his 2 upcoming bought). He is taking a huge chance, luckily Russia won’t care about a medical suspension from America if Monson should so happen to receive one.

That’s it!
