Monday Hangover: Strikeforce…

OK, look: I’m getting tired of writing about how troubled Strikeforce is right now.

After their last event’s cancellation due to lack of headliner… and the subsequent calls for it’s controlled demolition, it appears that the promotion is determined to implode on it’s own, thank you very much…

I’m sure you’ve heard the news by now that three bouts on the (presumably) upcoming November 3rd event have blown up: Daniel Cormier still doesn’t have an opponent, Luke Rockhold had to pull out due to injury and now Liz Carmouche is in immediate need of someone to fight since Sara McMann has been forced out.

Can you hear the calls for Strikeforce to die, already? At this point, Strikeforce is the black knight, limbless, threatening to bite your legs off…

I like the idea of a semi-independent Strikeforce. At this point, I’m not sure they can keep a card together. At least not a compelling one, without utilizing most of their roster….

What does the future hold for Strikeforce? Hell, I can’t think beyond this hangover…

Sorry, Strikeforce, it seems you have become the resident ‘Monday Hangover’ victim…

Take two fight cards and combine them, then call me…
