Chris Leben, Chris Leben…where to start? I expect the internets are a buzz with the Doctor Stoppage, leading some to feel Chris Leben ‘gave up’. I don’t feel that way, at the time he sat down in his corner, he couldn’t see, Stitch wasn’t able to get the cut stopped in the time allowed. After the fight was called, Stitch had the time to properly close it up, leading many to believe the cut was less severe than it was. I could be totally wrong, I’m just not gonna dump on a guy after putting up a good fight, losing a title shot and getting a nasty cut. Chris Leben is a warrior in my book and I look forward to seeing him compete again.
A few of my thoughts:
Jason Young has a ton of promise! Omigawa needs to make some changes to compete a this level. Che Mills is gonna be dangerous. Rob Broughton and Philip De Fries need to condition for this level of competition. John Maguire is one to keep an eye on. Great composure and follow through. Papy Abedi could be dangerous at 170 when he gets used to the cut, he might step back up to 185, either way, I want to see him fight again. Renan Barao is a BEAST! I want to see this kid in with some more top 10’s soon! Great win for Mark Munoz, next up for him is…
What did you all think?
