UFC FIGHT NIGHT MUNOZ VS MOUSASI PREDICTIONS

UFC_BERLIN_OFFICIAL_POSTERI want to start with a question.

Why would you want to air a fight card  that only the Fight Pass subscribers are familiar with on regular TV? How the F23K does that make sense? It doesn’t. This card should be on FS1 not Fight Pass, and the Miocic vs. Maldonado card should be on FS1 since it makes sense!

Here are my quick picks…

Tom Niinimäki vs. Niklas Bäckström
Tom Niinimaki is undefeated since 2007. A 12 fight win streak. Niklas B is 7-0 with a record full of regional names I don’t recognize. Tom has faced some names I recognize  in Cage Warriors and it’s his 2nd fight in the UFC. Tom Niinimaki by decision.

Luke Barnatt vs. Sean Strickland
Sean Strickland is an undefeated prospect from KOTC, making his UFC debut, Like Barnatt is undefeated and looking better and better each fight. The 0 stays with Barnatt, Octagon™ jitters are real and Sean is facing tougher competition. If Sean wins, it will most likely be by TKO, if e wins. Luke Barnatt by decision.

Francis Carmont vs. C.B. Dollaway
This one is tough to pick. Carmont was on a long win streak till Jacare got ahold of him and Dollaway is always tough. I’m gonna say Dollaway uses Jacare’s gamplan and takes the win by submission.

Mark Muñoz vs. Gegard Mousasi
Munoz needs a win, bad. Mousasi needs to prove he belongs in the division. It looks like a good fight on paper. Like everyone else, I expect Munoz to use his wrestling to keep Mousasi on the ground while he looks for the finish. Mousasi will most likely try to use his reach and keep Munoz at the end of his punches. Mousasi has never had the best wrestling or wrestling defense. Based on that, Munoz by GnP TKO 2nd round.
