UFC on Fuel TV 3 Results/Recap/Med/Bonus/Salaries/Highlight Video

UFC on Fuel TV 3. It should be called the Korean Zombie Show on Fuel! From the first fight to the last, it was an exciting night. I took shot after shot as I was screaming and cheering the TV screen. Francisco Rivera started the night out with what could have been FOTN soundly beating Alex Soto in probably his best performance yet, he looked strong, crisp and ready for a title shot in my mind. Jeff Curran put on an impressive performance despite having his leg kicked into oblivion, almost taking the fight in the 3rd from the excellent Johnny Eduardo. I was blown away by Rafael dos Anjos, his demolition of Kamal Shalorus was a complete surprise to me and TJ Grant put on a clinic against a game Carlo Prater, Carlo just couldn’t find his groove as he was dominated on the feet and surprisingly the ground. Brad Tavares and Dongi Yang put on the stinker of the night, full of eye pokes and groin shots, I’m looking for more from both fighters next time around, Cody McKenzie and Marcus Levesseur picked up where the previous fight left off, it was an exciting back and forth that saw Marcus handling Cody on the feet and for a few minutes the ground, until…you guessed it, until Cody sunk in the fight ending Guillotine (McKenzintine). Here’s a rule if you are fighting Cody, if at any point he gets ahold of your neck, run, run away quickly.

The Main card got started the right way, Tom Lawlor (fresh off his hilarious weigh in entrance and followed by a memorable Birthday fight entrance) put it to Jason MacDonald on the quick, KO’ing him at just 50 seconds of the first round. The excitement only got higher from there as Igor Pokrajac and Fabio Maldonado threw something in the neighborhood of 1 million power punches at each other for almost 35 minutes. If you get a chance to watch any of the fights again, I recommend that one. Fabio lost, but won on my card, he landed 166 power shots, half to the body and half to the head while Igor landed 66. Regardless of the outcome, it was exciting and a ‘holy sh!t’ fight as I was screaming that over and over from the beginning to the end. Dana White will take care of Fabio as he felt he was robbed too, Igor is a warrior and I look forward to seeing both of these guys again, whoever they face. Yves Jabouin thoroughly dominated Jeff Hougland, probably sending him on his way out of the UFC after his first fight in the Octagon™. Donald Cerrone came out and Nate Diaz’d Jeremy Stephens, punishing him from bell to bell for 3 rounds, it was classic Cowboy and I loved every F23King minute of it! The second stinker of the night was Amir Sadollah vs. Jorge Lopez, it was ugly and boring with Amir taking an underserved win. The Main Event lived up to all the billing, Chan Sung Jung and Dustin Poirier went 4 rounds, 4 rounds of excitement. There was ground battling, stand up exchanges that made me yell out loud and a finish that sent Twitter into convulsions. KZ and Dustin took it to the limit from the beginning to the end, they threw bombs, traded submission attempts in a beautiful BJJ display and dug deep to come out in the 4th for more of the same, ending with a stunning uppercut followed by an overhand left and finished with a D’arce choke that left Dustin unconscious. KZ proved he’s ready for a title shot, if he can learn to keep his hands up, Jose Aldo is in for a competitive fight.
