UFC on FX 3: Full Fight Card & Quick Predictions

The main event at UFC on FX 3 should be an all-out war for three rounds (unless of course there’s a sub or knock-out, in which case… well, I’m smiling either way. There’a almost no way this could go that will not leave me smiling. Maybe if one of them injures an ankle in the walk-out…)

ANYWAY… this entire card looks to be another great one and here’s my gut-feeling predictions (Disclaimer: Do not wager based on my predictions. Trust me on this one. Haha!)

FX Main Card

Demetrious Johnson vs. Ian McCall
As I’ve said, I’ll be happy either way this goes… and I like both guys. I just think McCall is a little more driven and will pull out the submission.
Predicted Winner: Ian McCall, 2nd round submission

Charlie Brenneman vs. Erick Silva
I’m a Brenneman fan, ever since he handled Rick Story (I know, he got handled by Rumble Johnson, but I think that loss, being so one-sided, was a good opportunity for Brenneman to learn from and I don’t expect it to be repeated anytime soon) and while Erick Silva provides a whole different challenge to the Spaniard, I think he’ll utilize his wrestling to control the match.
Predicted Winner: Charlie Brenneman, Unanimous Decision

Josh Neer vs. Mike Pyle
This one should be interesting. I like Pyle, but I think Neer just seems more focused.
Predicted Winner: Josh Neer, 2nd round TKO

Scott Jorgensen vs. Eddie Wineland
This bout won the fans over, and I’ll admit, next to the main event, this is the one I’m looking forward to most. Eddie Wineland is tough as nails, but Scott Jorgensen is a hammer! Look for this to be a battle ranging the entire surface area of The Octagon™—including the cage. In the end, I think both men will show damage, but the judges can only choose one.
Predicted Winner: Scott Jorgensen, Split Decision

Fuel TV Prelims

I love that the UFC has taken over a big chunk of Fuel TV programming, including airing the Prelims and the post-event shows. And, they show them again after the fights, so if you miss these the first time, check the channel because they usually air them again… and you don’t want to miss these fights!

Mike Pierce vs. Carlos Eduardo Rocha
Predicted Winner: Rocha, TKO 3rd round

Seth Baczynski vs. Lance Benoist
Predicted Winner: Bacynski, KO, 2nd round

Leonard Garcia vs. Matt Grice
Predicted Winner: Garcia, Decision

Dustin Pague vs. Jared Papazian
Predicted Winner: Papazian, Submission, 2nd round

Tim Means vs. Justin Salas
Predicted Winner: Means, Submission, 3rd round

Caio Magalhaes vs. Buddy Roberts
Predicted Winner: Magalhaes, TKO/KO, 2nd round

Facebook Preliminary Card

Bernardo Magalhaes vs. Henry Martinez
Predicted Winner: Martinez, TKO, 1st round

Jake Hecht vs. Sean Pierson
Predicted Winner: Pierson, Decision

Enjoy the fights!
